TL;DR: Welcome to In Case You Missed It (ICYMI), a daily crypto update from your favorite reporter, Linzerd. Binance reenables deposits as it completes upgrade after hack. Bitcoin transaction fees keep going up. Coinbase app trending on the Apple App Store. TD Ameritrade customers are interested in crypto. Floyd Mayweather and DJ Khaled not accountable in Centra Tech ICO case, and Gab to fork Keybase social platform to include bitcoin.
Binance Enables Deposits After Hack
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance completed a system upgrade break that took them more than 10 hours, presumably to deal with problems caused by the earlier hack where more than $40 million dollars worth of bitcoin were withdrawn from one of their hot wallets. The exchange recommends now to change passwords periodically and to use 2FA to protect personal accounts. Deposits are available now, and withdrawals will resume shortly, according to Binance blog post.
Bitcoin Transaction Fees Keeps Going Up
Bitcoin hit 19 BTC in pending tx fees. It's an 11-month high, since Jun 20, 2018. Translation: mempool is filling up, tx fees going 📈 Average tx fee over last 6 hours is 3-4 USD.

Marc Bevand, a computer and cryptocurrency researcher, highlighted the high fee amounts on BTC, as the mempool still has pending transactions. According to him, there are more than 19 bitcoins in pending fees, returning to previous highs of last year. The average fee for a bitcoin transaction is of about 4 dollars currently, and users have to wait more than 4 hours to get a confirmation.
Coinbase App Trending on Apple App Store
A Reddit thread by user bearded_djent posted an image from crypto exchange/bank Coinbase, showing it as a trending application within the Apple App Store. This is surely one of the consequences of the bull market the cryptocurrency world is experiencing now. People are looking to get on the cryptocurrency train, and Coinbase can be one of the most accessible (and trusted) ways to onboard with fiat.
TD Ameritrade Clients Interested in Crypto
TD Ameritrade, a retail online broker, declared they have tens of thousands of customers ready to trade crypto on their platform. During Coindesk Consensus, Steven Quirk, Executive Vice President, pointed out they “get calls, emails, 60,000 clients have traded something in this complex.” He also apologized because this process was not happening fast enough, and stated, “it’s never going to be fast enough for the people who write headlines.”
Mayweather and DJ Khaled Not Accountable in Centra Tech ICO Lawsuit
Floyd Mayweather, the famous boxer, and DJ Khaled, a renowned music performer, have been found not accountable in the lawsuit a group of investors is pursuing against Centra Tech, an ICO accused of selling unregistered securities. The judge dismissed the claim against the pair because it was impossible to prove investors bought ICO tokens influenced by the advertising of Mayweather and/or Khaled. Despite this, the case against Centra Tech’s founders continues.
Keybase Announce Stellar Inclusion, Gab to Fork It
Cool, can’t wait to fork Keybase and swap this out with a Lightning Network wallet. 😎 https://t.co/go2YWh6yq6

Keybase, a social platform that just recently announced its integration with Stellar transactions and wallets, has been surprised by Gab, the freedom-oriented Twitter alternative. Gab’s Andrew Torba revealed he intends to fork this newly released software to include BTC instead of Stellar. Torba declared, “Keybase is a personal favorite of mine, and their client-side app is open source so it made sense to take a look.”
