Robinhood, the no-fee trading app, made its first acquisition buying a media company that focuses on younger traders called MarketSnacks. The media outlet, now renamed Robinhood Snacks, will be used by the exchange to reach their customers and bring easily understandable and fun news and market insights to traders. Details of the purchase were not disclosed.

Almost Half of Justin Sun’s New Followers are Fake

A study of Justin Sun’s newer Twitter followers claims an important number is fake or at least suspected of being so. According to Geoff Goldberg, 20K of some 50K new accounts that actively follow the TRON CEO are zero-day accounts with almost no followers or twits. Geoff showed a sample of 16 new accounts only following Justin Sun. Sun has the first crypto account with more than 1 million followers on Twitter.

Yahoo’s Taotao Exchange to Launch in May

Taotao, a cryptocurrency exchange in Japan where a Yahoo subsidiary has about 40% ownership, will launch activities next month, offering trading services for a limited number of cryptocurrencies. At launch it will list Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Ripple, featuring margin trade for all of these currencies after having obtained regulatory approval from the FSA. The exchange is already open, offering a giveaway scheme for early customers.
