Welcome to In Case You Missed It (ICYMI), a blitzkrieg of spicy crypto news from your decentralized best friend, Linzerd. Bitcoin.com matches donations to AirdropVenezuela. OKEx Changes BCHABC ticker to BCH
OKEx, one of crypto’s largest exchanges, decided to award the BCH ticker back to the ABC implementation. In this way, it will be easier for users to know which cryptocurrency they are buying or selling at a glance. All balances in the exchange’s wallets will be settled accordingly. It’s an example exchanges such as Binance should follow to minimize confusion between their users.
Bitcoin.com Donates Big to AirdropVenezuela
AirdropVenezuela has an ambitious goal of giving 10 dollars to the first 100K Venezuelans to register with their platform. Bitcoin.com stepped up matched Bitcoin Cash 1:1 for a 24 period. In doing so, BCH moved to the most donated crypto for the fundraiser, and the AirTM CEO announced the generosity of the company and its CEO, Roger Ver.
Roubini Destroys Anthony Pompliano’s Bet
Everyone knows Nouriel Roubini, Doctor Doom, has no love for the cryptocurrency movement. His target this time around was podcast celebrity Anthony “Pomp” Pompliano. On Twitter, Dr. Doom referred to a recent public wager Pomp made about the future of crypto versus that of the S&P500 in the next 10 years. “100s shitcoin gurus are in financial ruin & near bankrupt personally,” Roubini explained. “So they are desperately gambling for redemption seeking attention & betting the house knowing that as they lose they can’t pay the bet. & in last con game they try to lure u in their trap. Pathetic.”
Bisq Drops Bitcoin Cash Support
Bisq, a decentralized exchange that allows changing cryptocurrencies for fiat, announced via a GitHub post they are dropping support for Bitcoin Cash. The reason given amounted to what the exchange called “lunatics from BCH camp” threatening to sue over listings. Because of this, Bisq developer Manfred Karrer thinks the best solution is to “ignore them and remove them from all exchanges.” An amazing development in a not so amazing direction.
Dash Backpedals on KFC Venezuela Announcement
It was too good to be true. The people of Dash Merchant Venezuela released a statement, making a public apology for announcing something that was still in the works with KFC Venezuela. It seems that they jumped the gun and announced something that was still cooking, and it was not well received by the people at KFC. However, they are still in conversations, and at least they are trying.
