Dash Does it Again, This Time For Real
Dash has at last boarded the first complete retail fast food chain to accept cryptocurrencies in Venezuela. Church’s Chicken announced via their Facebook page that they are (really) accepting dash in every one of their stores scattered through Venezuela. This marks a clear departure from the latest announcement that claimed falsely KFC was, in fact, adopting dash as a means of payment in their stores. Church’s claims that they are the first food chain to ever accept cryptocurrency payments. One more merchant embracing crypto cannot be a bad thing.
Stablecoin Basis Project Suspended Due to “Regulatory Woes”
Basis, a known stablecoin project, has decided to close their operations and return the whole amount of money raised for the project to their investors. The article published by The Block cites regulatory problems as the main issue causing the project to be terminated. The project raised more than 130 million dollars.
Cryptocurrency Confirmed Accounts Almost Doubled
An article published by Bloomberg states that the number of confirmed wallets has almost doubled in the first three quarters of this year. Wallets went from 18 million to 35 million, according to the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance. This could mean that there are people preparing themselves to investm and that interest in crypto has not dwindled even in this downtrend market. A silver lining to the current situation.
Samsung S10 Models Could Integrate Crypto Wallets
Samsung, one of the most prolific phone manufacturers, will likely offer integrated wallets with their upcoming line of S10 phones, traditionally the brand flagship. Memopay is a new advertising alternative that allows running advertisements directly to users by sending a transaction wallets.
