Hyperbitcoinization is as often cited as it is misunderstood and misused. Its intellectual father, Daniel Krawisz, discussed with CoinSpice.io Editor-in-Chief C. Edward Kelso how it has been twisted and hijacked by BTC cultists. Join us for the second in a four part series. Don’t miss this piece of ecosystem history.
Daniel Krawisz Laments Hyperbitcoinization’s Misuse
It was a seminal essay in Spring of 2014, outlining how Bitcoin would eventually gain adoption, and the conditions for that to happen.
“This article is about the possibility of Bitcoin-induced currency demonetization,” he began, “or hyperbitcoinization, which is what would happen to any hapless currency that stands in Bitcoin’s path of total world domination. If this happens, the currency will rapidly lose value as Bitcoin supplants it. What would such an event be like and how can it be understood economically?”
The author joins a special episode of CoinSpice.io ‘s podcast, Milk. Listeners might just be surprised how nuanced and nimble a thinker Krawisz is, how he can hold an opinion as only that, willing to change his mind as evidence dictates.
He’s a rare, eccentric bird, and we were honored to have him as a guest. Stay tuned for parts three and four.
