PODCAST End of an Era: Matt Aaron Leaves Bitcoin com for His Own Startup, Reflects on Career

TL;DR: At the start of the present year, quietly Matt Aaron, host of Humans of Bitcoin, left his post for a startup. Aaron helped to build the Bitcoin.com Podcast Network, and along the way interviewed the who-is-who of crypto. We grabbed him for a conversation about his time at the most recognizable brand in the ecosystem and what he learned. Matt Aaron Leaves Bitcoin.com for His Own Startup

For about two years, an eternity in the cryptocurrency world, Matt Aaron helped build one of the most interesting collections of podcasts on the subject. A weekly news roundup, a more in-depth format in Humans of Bitcoin, an exploratory show with Blockchain 2025, and even a Spanish language endeavor, all combined to try and explain this strange financial phenomenon to a curious public.

Aaron was its driving force. Helped, of course, by the sheer heft of the Bitcoin.com domain headstart, in truth, the podcast division had rather lingered before he got there. They had a few shows here and there, but nothing quite as focused. Aaron’s helm meant a more professional outlook guided by his insatiable need to learn.

Matt Aaron’s final episode is also one of his favorites.

We catch up with him to look back at his tenure. The inside story of how he came to be hired by crypto legend Roger Ver, behind-the-scenes tidbits about getting guests, … he takes us through it all.

He did end up leaving Bitcoin.com, however. He’s forever thankful for the opportunity to create a body of work, and seemed to really enjoy his time there, but Aaron is his own man. He’s a serial entrepreneur, a builder. He moved on to start a CBD-related company, Crazy Calm. It’s a coffee concern with a unique twist, and he’s using crypto to help fuel it.
