August 1st, 2019 marks two years of BCH. According to Bitcoin Cash Meetups, anniversary celebrations will happen all over the world: Los Angeles, Thailand, Spain, South Africa, Scotland, Hong Kong, New Orleans, Tokyo, Houston, Sydney, Osaka, and more. CoinSpice will document the occasion with special editions of the CoinSpice Podcast and the new hit YouTube program, CoinSpice Live.
The Pit High-Speed Exchange Launched by Blockchain
Blockchain.com, the company with 40 million wallets downloaded, has now launched its own cryptocurrency exchange, called The Pit. According to their pitch, it is the “first crypto trading platform to bring institutional-grade speed, reliability, and liquidity to individual investors.” They leverage a brand new matching engine called Mercury to achieve these speeds, and the integration with Blockchain’s wallets makes it easy to trade. 26 exchange pairs are already available, and fees are lower than Coinbase and other comparable exchanges.
Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire Warns About US Restrictive Crypto Policies
Jeremy Allaire, CEO of Circle, a cryptocurrency and payments company, called for fairer cryptocurrency laws during his testimony to the US Senate recently. Allaire said the “regulatory uncertainty and the application of laws that do not contemplate digital assets has led to the loss of significant opportunity for US crypto companies.” He also stated this “has led many digital asset projects and companies to domicile outside of the United States,” like Circle’s own subsidiary Poloniex, and called for “policies that define and establish digital assets as a new asset class.”
SEC to Run, Monitor Cryptocurrency Nodes
The US SEC (Securities and Exchanges Commission) is searching for a contractor to run cryptocurrency nodes to “support its efforts to monitor risk, improve compliance, and inform Commission policy with respect to digital assets.” The solicitation includes supervision of BTC and Ethereum nodes at a minimum, and the ability to add other blockchains. The responsible party must direct all node data, and all the historic information for full blockchains, from the genesis node to the current state.
Cryptophyl Launches Officially, Includes SPICE Trading
The first Simple Ledger Protocol (SLP) token exchange, Cryptophyl, where every listed token gets airdropped, has come out of its closed beta and is now accepting registrations. The exchange, launched by former Bitcoin Cash exchange Voltaire, is the first and only exchange that allows trading of SPICE, the appreciation token launched not long ago by SPICEtoshi. It also includes Bitcoin Cash trading and other upcoming popular SLP tokens.

Bitmain, the worldwide leader in mining hardware, will host the 2019 World Mining Digital Summit to be held in Frankfurt, Germany. The 2 day event will focus on delivering the latest knowledge and advancements in the cryptocurrency mining field. Jihan Wu, founder of Bitmain, Roger Ver, of Bitcoin.com, and Jiang Zhuoer, CEO of BTC.TOP will all be present in the event as participants. It will be held on October 9-10, 2019 and ticket sales are already open.
CashAccounts System Reaches 30K Addresses
Cash Accounts, a system created to solve the problem of unreadable and nonpractical wallet addresses, announced a milestone: its first 30K addresses registered, promoting usability on the Bitcoin Cash blockchain. Now that the system has been adopted and implemented fully by Electron Cash Wallet and Badger Wallet, two popular BCH apps, in less than a year of launched CashAccounts has become a key tool that allows for simple, readable names easy to share.
