Crypto Matchmaking Cupid: Valentine’s Day Lovers Who Should Be

Crypto Matchmaking Cupid: Valentine's Day Lovers Who Should Be

TL;DR: In this bear market, cryptocurrency’s extended winter, CoinSpice is committed to bringing heat. Valentine’s Day is the ecosystem’s time to speculate on something other than shitcoins. We found cupid, the merry, cherubic matchmaker, asking who the fairy thought would make the best couples in the space. From Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to the International Monetary Fund’s Christine Lagarde, love is in the airdrop.

Crypto is for Lovers: Jack Dorsey and Elizabeth Stark are CoinSpice Valentine’s Day Cover Couple

Jack Dorsey, the founder and CEO of Twitter and Square, is one hell of a guy. Just to have started two monster companies, a social network pioneer and a payment giant, is incredible. But lately, Jack has concentrated his thoughts upon cryptocurrencies. He is a known maximalist and has said he thinks bitcoin will be currency of the internet, a pretty bold statement. So we paired him with Elizabeth Stark, head of Lightning Labs, the company behind Lightning Network. Stark is a determined woman, known to defend her points of view tooth and nail. They experienced a certain closeness while recording a podcast together recently, along with both being investors in Lightning Labs, which could make for an electrifying Valentine’s Day.

The Banking Team: Nouriel Roubini and Christine Lagarde

Nouriel Roubini is one tough nut to crack, especially when talking about cryptocurrencies. Called by some “Dr. Doom,” he has been a bold enemy and detractor of bitcoin and all cryptos existent over the face of the earth. He might seem like a bad guy, but maybe he’s angry and gloomy because he’s lonely, … as as evidenced by his accidentally tweeting out a booty call. So, we paired with him with Christine Lagarde, managing director of the IMF, French femme fatale. Lagarde is accomplished and steeped in mainstream economic thought, and she isn’t nearly as strident in her opposition to crypto. She might even soften the good doctor, making for a steamy Keynesian affair sure to stimulate demand.

The Programmers: Vitalik Buterin and Amber Baldet

We all love Vitalik Buterin, co-creator of Ethereum. His dashing personality, informed tweets, logical thinking, and a strange attraction for unicorns make him quite a catch. He seems too busy coding and wrapped in things-ether to take on a boo, a bae, but if anyone could bring him out of his shell, it’s probably another coder. That is why we thought about pairing him with none other than Amber Baldet. She’s not only super cute, she’s also got a big, juicy brain, having developed Quorum, an ethereum-based blockchain product for JP Morgan. In addition, she’s co-founder and CEO of Clovyr. We imagine the two working on their GitHub repositories, making eyes between pull requests.

Crypto to Wall Street Couple: Brian Armstrong and Adena Friedman

To say Brian Armstrong has done much for crypto would be a great understatement. The man co-founded one of the most important exchanges in the crypto environment, Coinbase. He approached adoption with the idea of communicating cryptocurrencies be used by normal people, just like money. A woman with influence like Adena Friedman would only help him to continue popularizing crypto, and even, maybe, take the concept to Wall Street, finally getting that institutional money. Adena is currently CEO of the most emblematic stock markets in the whole world, NASDAQ. She is also pro cryptocurrency and has declared NASDAQ could become a crypto exchange in time. They would probably spend evenings evaluating investment positions, some long, some short, coming up with ingenious base pairs.

They Were in Iron Man II Together: Elon Musk and Gwyneth Paltrow

Crypto Matchmaking Cupid: Valentine's Day Lovers Who Should Be

Elon Musk needs no introduction. CEO of the revolutionary company Tesla and also of SpaceX, the private company dedicated to space travel, he is a man who likes attention and the limelight. He has also been flirting with cryptocurrencies for a while, but has not decided to take them too seriously. However, he has been impersonated several times for scams and hoaxes to steal cryptocurrency from people who follow him. We decided to pair him with Academy Award winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who might be able to convince Elon finally to embrace crypto savagery full-on. Gwyneth has become an advisor to ABRA, an investment platform. She has also published cryptocurrency articles on her wildly popular lifestyle website, Goop. Maybe Pepper Pots could be the one to kickstart Teslacoin?
