Vitalik Buterin on CoinSpice Live
CoinSpice Live called on Ethereum co-founder and intellectual leader Vitalik Buterin to elaborate a bit on his latest proposal for scalability. Buterin graciously made time, appearing from Taiwan by way of video for a 20-minute clinic regarding the technical aspects of his latest thinking on the subject.
Crypto Twitter ran with outrage recently at the story of an assumed mixing of Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum, collectively scratching their heads while obviously not reading what Buterin actually wrote on the Ethereum Research blog. It’s a breezy thought experiment about blockchain interoperability and utilizing resources available while his project builds a more permanent solution, Ethereum 2.0, still at least a year away.
Buterin explains it all, and fields questions from host Peter Ryan effortlessly. Ryan asks his thoughts on considering Bitcoin Cash in particular and, interestingly, if it’s important to reach out and work with other projects with tribalism so prominent at the moment. Buterin’s answer is both compelling and provoking, and makes the interview mandatory for anyone interested in the future of cryptocurrency blockchains.
