G20 To Tax Cryptocurrencies
Governments want it all, especially taxes. At the latest G20 conference in Buenos Aires, the 20 most important nations of the world have decided to start planning a collaborative solution to tax cryptocurrencies. As of now, governments cannot tax a foreign company that does not have a presence in the country, so it is presumed that cryptocurrencies will be used toward this end. The final version of this resolution will be presented in Japan. As they say, everything can be escaped except death and taxes.
Mike Novogratz to Auction Himself
Mike Novogratz, billionaire crypto investor and CEO of Galaxy Digital, is auctioning himself as part of a charity to get funds for the maintenance of New York’s Hudson River Park. Winning big will have lunch with the famed investor, where they can talk about cryptocurrency investment advice, even when Galaxy has lost tens of millions in 2018.
Honest.cash Goes Uncensorable
Adrian Barwicki, lead developer of Honest.cash, announced that the first uncensorable article or post for the platform has been published. To achieve this, it uses the bitcoin files protocol, used to save and retrieve files from the bitcoin cash blockchain. In his own words “It cannot be removed, censored or amended. It is saved in the history of mankind for all times.” Another triumph for cryptocurrencies against censorship!
Bitcoin Cash Devs Draft New Specs
The Bitcoin Cash dev community does not stop. Even after having faced the contentious hard fork just weeks ago, they continue drafting specs for the improvement of the actual protocol of the crptocurrency. The first draft for the changes in the next specs include enabling certain op codes and the introduction of Schnorr signatures. The community keeps improving the use and behavior of Bitcoin Cash.
NEO has a New Feature: Easily Seized Funds
NEO, sometimes called the Chinese Ethereum, presents a critical vulnerability, according to the Chinese giant Tencent. They reported that every time a node is connected to the network with the default options, every wallet has the risk of having its funds taken by hackers. The firm also proposed a set of solutions to the problem, but users must jump through hoops to not get robbed. An amazing new feature by the NEO bunch.
Crypto in Jeopardy, and Not Due to the Bear Market
Cryptocurrencies have appeared on game show Jeopardy! as a new category of trivia in the first round of the show. Participants kinda ran when they saw it, preferring to clear other categories instead. However, contestants answered all the questions from the crypto category correctly, a sign that shows cryptocurrencies are more and more recognized in society every day.
